Why this journal
You can value a role and still question the time or loyalty it asks of you. The journal considers how such tensions develop, what keeps them in place, and how you see them after years of your own experience.
A possibility you no longer want, but still wish you had explored.
A responsibility that still matters, though its cost now feels different.
A future that supports one commitment and strains another.

How it works
In 40s, an earlier response becomes a reference when you consider a possible future. Here is one example.
Identify two to four parts of your present life you would not want to lose in a future change.
Return to that record to consider what a possible future would protect, weaken, or place in conflict.
PAGE 124 and PAGE 131 appear at different points in the book, with other reflections between them.
